The Roman tub filler Ella distributed on older walk-in tubs was the Huntington Brass model HB9937-C, and Ella did not carry alternative handle styles or replacement cartridges for it. If you want fluted or vandal-resistant handles, new hot or cold cartridges, or stems for that faucet, contact Huntington Brass directly and give them the faucet model. Ella's technical support can help you confirm which faucet is on your tub, and that matters, because Huntington Brass hoses and Ella faucet hoses do not interchange.

Which Faucets Shipped on Older Ella Tubs

Huntington Brass faucets appeared on Ella walk-in tubs for a number of years, including the Roman tub filler HB9937-C, with separate hot and cold lever handles and a deck spout, and a Huntington Brass two-piece faucet. Huntington Brass faucets have since been discontinued at Ella. Current tubs ship with the Ella Fast-Fill faucets, a two-piece version and a five-piece version with a pull-out hand shower, and the five-piece faucet includes its 3/4-inch supply lines. The Huntington Brass two-piece faucet was replaced by the Ella two-piece faucet, and because the connections are different, a hose for one will not fit the other.

Some older tubs also carry a substituted spout. On certain builds the original Huntington Brass spout reached too far into the tub, so a smaller spout was fitted at assembly. If your spout looks different from the original Huntington Brass spout, that is usually why, and support can discuss the alternative with you. Getting Handles, Cartridges and Stems

  1. Confirm the faucet model. Look for the Huntington Brass name on the faucet body or escutcheons, or send support clear photos of the handles, spout and the connections under the deck. Identifying your tub before ordering parts shows what to photograph.
  2. Contact Huntington Brass customer service directly and quote the faucet model. They should be able to supply replacement cartridges and tell you whether a different handle style fits the same valve body.
  3. Have a local licensed plumber fit the parts. A cartridge swap on a Roman filler is routine work for a plumber, and Ella's technical support can answer questions by phone or email while the work is done.
  4. If your tub has an Ella Fast-Fill faucet instead, request the cartridge through support and follow the cartridge replacement steps.

Hoses and Connections

Because the Huntington Brass two-piece faucet was replaced by the Ella two-piece faucet, support will ask for photos before shipping a hose so the right one goes out. Ella does not stock the Huntington Brass two-piece hose. Photograph the hose end beside the spout inlet or valve outlet it must connect to, and include the serial number from the label behind the magnetic access panel next to the door. If the hose in your kit does not match the fitting, that photo is what resolves it fastest.

Warranty and Who to Call

Non-Ella brand faucets carry their manufacturer's warranty rather than Ella's lifetime parts warranty. A handle that arrived damaged or was defective on arrival should be reported to support with photos and your serial number so support can coordinate a replacement with the supplier. Common Questions

Are different handle styles available from Ella for the Huntington Brass faucet?
No. Ella distributed the HB9937-C Roman faucet as supplied and did not carry alternative handles. Contact Huntington Brass with the model number to ask about fluted, vandal-resistant or other handle options that fit the same valves.
Where do I get replacement cartridges for the Roman faucet?
