What therapy packages and features come on the Ella Transfer26?

The Ella Transfer26 is offered five ways on its current spec sheet: as a Soaking tub with no jets, as Hydro Massage, as Air + Hydro, as Hydro + Hydro Independent Foot Massage, and as Hydro Massage + Microbubble. The three dual packages include the LED chromatherapy light, and a heated seat and backrest and a digital controller can be added to any order. The Five Transfer26 Packages Side by Side

The table follows the jetting and therapy options printed on the Transfer26 spec sheet dated 05/07/26. Jet counts are quoted only where that sheet prints them in readable text, so most packages say not listed rather than borrowing a figure from a wider Transfer model. There is no single Transfer26 jet count, because the count is set by the package you choose.

What the table means: the Soaking tub and the Hydro Massage tub are the two single-system builds, and neither includes the light. Choosing any of the three dual packages adds a second system and brings the LED chromatherapy light with it, so the light is really a feature of the dual packages rather than a separate add-on. Air + Hydro is the package the spec sheet describes jet by jet, with 17 air jets spread between the seat and the footwell and 11 hydro jets split between the back and the feet. What the Hydro and Air Systems Do

The hydro massage is the whirlpool system. A pump drives water through the jets, an in-line water heater keeps the bath at a comfortable temperature while the jets run, and an intensity control dial lets you adjust the strength of the jet stream to your own comfort. The air massage is a different sensation: a separate pump sends a gentle stream of small bubbles through jets in the seat and floor, and it runs at three speeds. On Ella's three-speed push controls the first press is high, the second press is medium, the third press is low, and a fourth press turns the system off.

Two automatic features ride along with these systems. Auto Purge starts on its own about 20 minutes after the air pump is turned off and runs for 120 seconds to blow leftover water out of the air lines, which keeps the lines free of mold and mildew. It cannot be stopped and it is normal even if it starts while you are still in the bathroom. Ozone sterilization works with the hydro system to keep the tub fresh and clean for each use, and it is listed among the therapies available across the Transfer family, so confirm it for your package when you order. Independent Foot Massage, Microbubble and the LED Light

Hydro + Hydro Independent Foot Massage gives the foot and calf jets their own pump and their own intensity dial, so the foot massage can be run and adjusted separately from the seat jets. Ella describes this as an exclusive feature, and it is the package to look at if the feet and calves are where you want the massage.

Hydro Massage + Microbubble adds Ella's infusion microbubble therapy. The first video on this page shows it working: one touch of the micro button generates billions of microbubbles from a single port in the tub, the water turns from clear to completely cloudy as the bubbles fill it, and Ella describes the water as carrying up to 70 percent more oxygen than regular tap water. The result is a warm, skin-softening bath that exfoliates and invigorates, which is why it is listed as a skin therapy rather than a massage.

The LED chromatherapy light is rated 0.5A and is switched with an on/off push control. The Transfer26 spec sheet states that the light is included with the Hydro + Air, Hydro + Micro and Hydro + Hydro packages, and not with Hydro Massage on its own.

Options You Can Add to Any Package

Two optional features are printed on the Transfer26 spec sheet: a heated seat and backrest, and a digital controller. The heated seat and backrest warms the seating surface for extra comfort, and the digital controller replaces the push buttons with a digital pad. What Every Transfer26 Includes No Matter the Package

The package changes the pumps and jets, and nothing else. Every Transfer26 is built on the same shell and hardware:

• An acrylic shell in gloss white, reinforced with fiberglass gelcoat, on a stainless steel frame with adjustable leveling legs.
• The outward swing transfer door in plastic composite and tempered glass with the latch gear and shaft mechanism. The drawing shows the door opening 172 degrees with a 20 inch door swing clearance, and the L-shaped door leaves no sidewall beside the seat for a side transfer from a wheelchair.
• A removable front apron with two access panels, one reversible end panel and an extension panel, and a stainless steel deck and wall-mounted grab bar in chrome finish.
• Two 2 inch 4-port PVC drains with two end caps, two overflows and two cable-operated openers with extended handles, the dual drain arrangement Ella uses for fast gravity drainage.
• A 2 piece fast-fill faucet rated up to 16 GPM at 60 PSI under ideal in-home plumbing, two 5 foot water supply lines in 3/4 inch, and a pull-out chrome hand shower on a 5 foot retractable braided hose.

The tub itself measures 26 by 52 by 40 inches with a 19 inch seat, holds 75 gallons unoccupied and 35 to 55 gallons with a bather in it, weighs 205 pounds net and 300 pounds crated, and ships in a 29 by 60 by 50 inch crate. Any package with a pump requires a dedicated GFCI protected electrical line, so share the spec sheet with your electrician before the rough-in.
