Specific duties include: recommend products to customers based on customers’ needs; advise customers on the use of products or services; ensure customer satisfaction and obtain client feedback; monitor US and International market conditions, product innovations, and competitors’ products, prices, and sale; research, identify and explore new business opportunities; identify prospective customers by using business directories, following leads from existing clients, or attending trade shows and conferences; market research and development of a prospective client database; coordinate sales campaigns; maintain and manage accurate, up-to-date sales related activities in the CRM (customer relationship management,); contact current or potential customers to promote products; responsible for relationship building of new clients at various levels and with multiple functions; work to achieve a sales target in the assigned focus areas and geographies; support international tradeshows and customer sponsored events; formalize account objectives and strategies with management team; support the sales cycle including identifying opportunities, leads management, client education, presentations and deliver proposals and close deals; interact effectively with other departments including inside sales managers, estimating, contracts administration and technical teams; and identify competitive advantage opportunities, work with management and estimating on bidding and closure strategies. Position requires travel 25% of the time to visit retail customers within the U.S. and participate in international shows abroad. Option to work remotely 50% of the time in the U.S.
Position requires 3 years of experience in the job offered, or as a Project Director, or similar position identifying sales opportunities and ensuring customers satisfaction. Must have 3 years of experience working with each of the following: Excel data management tools, including data tables, linking across files, nested formulas, array formulas and data cleaning; advanced PowerPoint tools, including ThinkCell, combination charts, and templates / masters; and CRM. Specific experience must also include: contacting current or potential customers to promote products or services including cold calling new retailers; applying project management concepts to serve as a point of contact person between internal team members and clients; applying client relationship management skills to maintain professional communication with customers and maintaining high level of customer satisfaction; and using effective verbal, written, and presentation skills to highlight product features. Must be willing to travel 25% of the time to visit retail customers within the U.S. and participate in international shows abroad.
